HARDANGER FIDDLE (Pirastro)
Gut Core Pirastro are no longer supplying the sets of 4 resonance strings. Many players are now finding that single steel guitar strings are equally effective, and far better value. Gauges chosen range between .007" and .0105", with some players using all the same gauge, and some using a mixture of 2 gauges eg 2 x .008 and 2 x .009. Choice seems to depend on the build of instrument and preferred tuning, and I regret we can not offer any further specific advice other than that.
